Kids
At the heart of Saint James kids and in all we do is Jesus.
Sunday Kids
On Sundays we run kids groups during the 10am service for children aged 4-11. We meet in bubbles of 15 going out to groups after 15 minutes in the main service as a church family.
Due to covidguidelines we are unable to provide a crèche or preschool aged groups. When guidelines change, we will resume these.
We have a group of committed leaders who run the kids groups, check out this video to see why Leanne is on the kids team
Toddlers
A thriving group for the community, it seeks to care for parents whilst helping them to build relationships with other mums. All are welcomed to attend and all are welcomed to meet with Jesus through bible stories and crafts. Due to COVID our toddler group has been paused till we are able to re-open again.
For church parents, a support group has been running to provide spiritual and emotional care whilst in lockdown. This 45 minute session complies with COVID regulations whilst also providing support to parents. Get in touch to find out more.
Youth
At Saint James we want young people to belong.
Our aim is to work with parents to help grow a generation of disciple-making disciples. We’ve currently got a reduced programme because of COVID, but we have been able to open up activities on Sundays and midweek and will open up more as restrictions are eased.
Sunday Youth
On Sundays we currently run two youth services (which means we’re allowed to meet in groups of more than 15). The Boat is for year 7-9 and meets from 4-5pm. Resonate is for year 10-13 and meets from 6:30- 7:30pm.
At the youth services there’s always time to hang out and catch up with friends (socially distanced), there’s also time to hear from the Bible, to pray together, and to listen to some Christian songs – because we’re not allowed to sing currently. Whether you’re a Christian or not, everyone is welcome to come and join in!
Midweek Youth
The River is a Bible study and fellowship group for young people in year 7-year 9. Everyone in those year groups is welcome to join us – whether you’re a Christian or just interested, we’d love to see you! We meet on Tuesdays from 5-6pm. Watch this space for a new Bible study for older youth coming soon!
